Katrina Pet Tales
Sally and I had the good fortune to spend time with these humane organizations and write this online account. We conducted extensive interviews with the rescuers, foster parents, and the many hurricane victims who lost and then found their pets. The story was commissioned by the Humane Society of Missouri and focuses on the efforts of that organization, along with The Humane Society of Southern Missisisippi , The Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and The Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
