Artist's trial by ire -- Baltimore Sun

Seems unlikely, but an art student got all sorts of government agencies to agree to let him put a gold-painted chain-link fence around a public park that surrounds a national monument in Baltimore. It was supposed to be a form of public sculpture... but what it did was outrage the public. The fence is being dismantled well ahead of schedule by the profoundly disillusioned student.
